A delightful custard with a luscious caramel topping, reminiscent of the exquisite desserts served on vintage dessert trolleys. Although originally designed for serving beverages, the sight of this splendid creation, adorned with two solid oak shelves and elegant brass wheels, left me convinced that it was the perfect pudding trolley. To my surprise, it carried a modest price tag of €150 and was being utilized as a showcase for an abundance of small items at a local flea market. Thankfully, its current purpose saved me from the temptation of bringing it home, as we were in dire need of a chair instead. However, I couldn’t shake off the feeling of remorse over my decision.
