The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) recently transferred ownership of a 14,000-square meter property located in Sta. Mesa, Manila, to the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC). The purpose behind this handover is to facilitate the development of the Pambansang Pabahay high-rise condominium project. In exchange for the property, SHFC purchased it from GSIS for a total of P258 million. This initiative aims to address housing needs and provide improved living conditions for approximately 1,000 informal settler families who currently reside in the area.
