The public cloud is not the ultimate solution to all infrastructure challenges. Therefore, on-premises infrastructure seems to be here to stay. In fact, there appears to be a growing recognition of the need to invest in this area. Nowadays, we commonly refer to this as the private cloud, highlighting its contrast with the public cloud.
