The crisis shelter for asylum seekers in Groningen will be located at The Village, a student housing complex on Peizerweg. Set to open this Thursday, the facility aims to accommodate between eighty to one hundred asylum seekers from various countries such as Syria, Eritrea, Somalia, Iran, Iraq, and Yemen. It is anticipated that the asylum seekers will stay in the shelter for approximately three months while awaiting placement in a regular asylum seekers center.
