After experiencing a setback in the middle of the week, investors are exercising caution on Thursday. The German benchmark index, DAX, started the day with a slight increase of 0.1 percent, reaching 16,935 points. This puts the DAX in close proximity to its record high of around 17,050 points. The MDAX, which consists of 50 medium-sized companies, also saw a slight increase of 0.14 percent, reaching 25,748.42 points. The Eurozone’s leading index, EuroStoxx 50, gained 0.3 percent.
